Job description

I am looking for Sales Executives with successful experience in the automotive domain to join a German start-up that works on modernizing and digitalizing automotive manufacturing.

As a Key Account Manager, you will take complete ownership of managing and pushing sales within one of the key accounts, and work hand-in-hand with the Head of Sales and the team to recognize opportunities and turn leads into long-lasting partnerships. You will get an unapparelled opportunity to communicate directly with core decision-makers of international corporations, understand their individual needs, and recommend company solutions that maximize value.

Your goal will be to use your sales and account management skills to develop new customers  in the automotive industry and beyond.

You will:

  • qualify their business objectives and determine how your team can help them better achieve their KPIs;
  • further develop and implement account strategies to engage with other departments;
  • be in constant exchange with other customers regarding the company product;
  • collect their requirements, validate them, and systematically identify potentials for existing and new customer groups;
  • acquire new business contacts and represent the company, equipped with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesforce, and many more;
  • track your steps to win appointments in Salesforce, which you also use to plan your activities;
  • work closely with your technical and business development colleagues and cross-functional teams and integrate them into the sales pipeline;
  • become an expert on the company platform and offering. This will enable you to react spontaneously and professionally to concerns from potential customers;
  • always have your ear close to the customer and the market and therefore have an overview of current and future customer needs;
  • be an evangelist for the product and therefore you can close large deals.

You have:

  • Fluency in both spoken and written English and any other Western European Language;
  • A formal degree in technical or comparable studies with a relevant focus;
  • 2+ years of practical experience in Sales, preferably for B2B Software Companies in the engineering environment;
  • Experience in the Automotive industry or comparable;
  • Natural talent for customer satisfaction, and proven skill in influencing and negotiating with people at all levels of seniority and responsibility, up to C-level of large enterprises;
  • Natural talent and practical experience in thinking your way into the business models of the prospects, with an ability to devise how you can create a win-win situation together;
  • Capability to work independently, with a goal-oriented personality and willingness to bring your ideas to the team;
  • Proficiency in MS Office skills, especially with PowerPoint and Excel, and proven experience in working with CRM systems like Salesforce;
  • Problem-solving, multitasking, and attention-to-detail mentality and are focused on issue resolution in a deadline-driven work environment.

The location of this position is in Berlin, but depending on the customer it can also involve moderate traveling but you can also work remotely if you live in another city in Germany.
