Overview:
The Java Splunk position is essential to our organization as it involves developing, maintaining, and supporting Java applications integrated with Splunk for effective log management and analysis. This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth functioning and performance of our systems through effective utilization of Java and Splunk tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and develop Java applications integrated with Splunk.
- Design, develop, and deploy Java-based solutions that leverage the capabilities of Splunk for log management and analysis.
- Optimize and troubleshoot Java applications to ensure seamless integration with Splunk.
- Conduct system analysis to identify potential areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Monitor the performance of Java applications and provide proactive maintenance.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for Java-Splunk integration projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Java applications with Splunk for full-stack visibility.
- Participate in code reviews, identify areas for optimization, and implement best practices.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Java-Splunk issues.
- Stay updated with the latest Java and Splunk capabilities to recommend and implement improvements.
Required Qualifications:
•Design and development of specialized applications, dashboards, data models, and add-ons using Splunk SPL, SimpleXML (OR Javascript, CSS), python
•Advanced Splunk analytics and the development of custom Splunk applications, creating visually appealing and interactive dashboards for data analysis and reporting
•Splunk data integrations with business-critical enterprise applications and systems
•Translating feedback from the business to Splunk technical requirements and solutions
•Work in an Agile environment and follow scrum practices
Requirements:
•Splunk Certified Developer, Core Certified Consultant, experience as a Splunk Dashboard Developer
•Programming experience in Python for data manipulation, extraction, and automation tasks
•Splunk app and add-on development, data modeling
•Strong experience in Splunk development, building dashboards(Splunk SimpleXML OR JavaScript, CSS), reports and lookup tables
•Working knowledge of Splunk including SPL, indexers, forwarders, search heads
•Experience in agile processes
•Familiarity with large-scale software architecture, networking and distributed systems, and UNIX/Linux environments
•Exposure to REST APIs, CI/CD concepts, Git, Jenkins, Gitlab, AWS, Docker, GCP, Terraform, Ansible
