Your opportunity  

We are currently looking for a Director of Primary Care Development (White Plains, New York) (aka Physician Network Development) that will be responsible for helping Vytalize grow its footprint of independent Primary Care Physicians practices in its Accountable Care Organization (ACO) within local markets. This role will require frequent local travel to meet with PCPs in person and will report to the Regional VP of Primary Care Development. This is a high impact position that is perfect for an entrepreneurial sales professional who is looking to grow their career in value based care.  

The right candidate will have a firm understanding of their local market (including Internal Medicine, Family Practice and Geriatric Primary Care Physicians), know the key healthcare players in their designated region, and have strong experience with consultative sales to primary care physicians. Knowledge of Value Based Care is required. This role would involve pursuing small-to-mid-sized medical groups and individual practices in addition to supporting regional sales leaders with larger opportunities as needed. 

 

What You Will Do 

  • Recruit / sign up new primary care physicians practices into the Vytalize Accountable Care Organization (ACO); this includes Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Geriatric Primary Care Physicians, MA Contracts  
  • Understand market/uncover opportunities/map market relationships 
  • Make presentations to physicians and travel to local practices to meet with them in-person 
  • Consult PCPs to understand their unique needs and opportunities that we can solve to personalize the sales approach 
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date pipeline in Salesforce  
  • Understand competition, how it fits in and be able to sell against it 
  • Focus on individual & small groups, understand IPA/ACO/Medical Group/Health System dynamic to support 
  • Identify Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs),  Understand Peers & Politics 

What will make you successful here  

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, including at least 5 years in the healthcare industry 
  • Past experience selling to Primary Care with a firm understanding of local market landscape 
  • Tech savviness, charisma and impeccable organizational skills 
  • Comfortable with a high volume of regional travel on a regular basis 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Excellent with technology platforms including Salesforce and Microsoft 365 
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, a sense of ownership and comfortable operating in ambiguity 
  • Solution oriented with the ability to think strategically and creatively in decision-making 
  • Strong work ethic to exceed expectations and goals 
  • Coachable and able to take direction and feedback well 
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality 
  • Team-player with tenacity to follow through to success
