Position Overview:

We are looking for a full-time Junior SEO Copywriter, to join our SEO Team for the Brazilian market. This position is 100% remote and will be supporting the creation of transactional copy for landing pages & informational blog articles for our B2B & B2C audiences.

As the Junior SEO Copywriter for Brazil, you´ll be working hand in hand with other copywriters & SEO analysts from the Team, but also interact and engage with the Brand Managers of our B2B & B2C brands in Brazil.

We are looking for an inquisitive individual who loves understanding how people search on the internet and is able to create content that fulfills those needs in an engaging and informative way. Our ideal candidate should be able to learn about our products, offers & audience and use this knowledge to create engaging copy.

Responsibilities:

• Perform keyword research using aHrefs, Google Keyword Planner & Google Search, and analyze competitor´s content according to topics suggested by Sr SEO Copywriter but also based on your topic discovery.
• Outline, draft, edit & optimize content pieces for use on a variety of Open English channels such as Landing Pages, Blog Articles, Social Posts and occasionally Emails. (80% of your time will be invested on the B2B brand and 20% on our B2C Brand)
• Publish written blog articles directly in WordPress CMS under the guidance of our Senior SEO Copywriter
• Produce content that maintains the unique voice, talking points, and high quality associated with Open English.
• Together with the Brand Managers, plan new content combining creative and data-driven insights.
• Develop an understanding of the industry and the role his/her expertise plays in the industry.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience​​.
• 1+ years of experience creating and implementing innovative and highly intuitive copy within a company or in a digital agency.
• Portuguese and ideally basic English or Spanish

Preferred Qualifications:

• Should be able to take large amounts of information and distill them into engaging copy
• Must be detail-oriented and be able to juggle multiple priorities
• Have a portfolio that demonstrates unique writing abilities, creative thinking and the ability to connect with readers.

A successful candidate for this role will demonstrate the following personal skills and attributes:

• Ability to manage and report your progress for ongoing writing projects. You will be reporting directly to our Senior SEO Copywriter in Brazil.
• Manage multiple assignments and tasks with a predictable level of quality.
• The ability to fluently communicate and sell in the “voice” of Open English.
• Great communication, positive attitude & energy, together with a can-do attitude.
• Maintain flexibility to turn around rush assignments on short notice.
• Be creative & understand user behavior/psychology to craft an engaging and effective narrative and sales copy.
• Be curious and open about new technologies such as AI.
