Job Purpose:**

Provides system analysis, code deployments, incident management, problem management, change control for all production systems running on Windows. The primary focus of this position is around the effectiveness and reliability of the production systems design. **

THIS IS A 100% REMOTE POSITION.**

Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  • Collaborate with all members of IT Operations (Systems Administration, Database Administration, Network Administration) to help resolve or identify issues within our production environment.
  • Perform analysis on Production systems to ensure maximum system availability and reliability.
  • Support and troubleshoot associated infrastructure and subsystems that are required for the applications to function correctly.
  • Provide Tier 3, 24/7 production support to designated production systems where applicable per the established supported system matrix for the IT Operations Support department.
  • Independently diagnose and track assigned trouble tickets.
  • Perform documentation of system designs and implementations.
  • Document requirements for development review
  • Utilize documented procedures for implementing code into production.
  • Ensure the stability of supported applications.
  • Meet facilitation and document policies, procedures, and follow sound technical specifications as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Must have the ability to work within a collaborative environment with a variety of technical teams
  • Must have strong, demonstrated teamwork skills.
  • Must have proven skills in system trouble shooting and problem resolution.
  • Must have exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
  • Must have exceptional planning and organization skills.
  • Demonstrable analytical and programmer skills

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • 3-5 years of work experience supporting Windows systems and applications.
  • Experience with Windows, IIS, .Net, and SQL Server.
  • Experience with scripting language including PowerShell, Bash, Python.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • RedHat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu
  • Databases: Oracle, MySQL
  • Languages: PHP, Perl, PL/SQL, Java/J2EE
  • Experience with SIP A/S
  • Play Framework, Akka, Hazelcast
  • Logstash
  • DevOps automation skills
  • Programming skills

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and a variety of office equipment.
  • Occasionally may need to reach, stoop, or kneel.
