Position Responsibilities:Systems Engineer working on assigned systems, subsystems, or capabilities.Provide support for system, subsystem and capability design and integrationModeling (MBSE) to support architectural development and system definitionRequirements collection/definition (for all system aspects of the final function)Perform trade studies and other analyses to support defining system, subsystem and component requirements and designPerform and participate in capability integration and test and operational validation of the capability, potentially including generation of test plans and procedures and participation in system acceptance testing.Work closely with engineering teams from concept through implementation to ensure systems, hardware and software functional, and logical architectures satisfy customer, product and safety goalsDevelop requirements from the Product and Customer Requirements through the ‘V’Ensure traceability of requirements across architectures, analyses and verification plansRequired Skills and Abilities:Must have strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Expertise with the application of MBSE in support of complex system development. Expertise in solving technical problems and conducting trade-offs of different solutions. System engineering skills and qualifications through education or experience including requirements definition/allocation/traceability, interface definition, logical architecture, functional architecture, verification and validation. Experience with rapid iteration prototypes and joint hardware/software development.Preferred Qualifications:Ability to contribute through the SE lifecycle. Expertise with SysML and MBSE application. Experience with developing safety critical systems, mechatronic systems through the product lifecycle. Experience with Autonomous Vehicles behavior definition and decomposition into functional and performance requirements. Understanding of AV, relevant technologies like sensors, and embedded systems. Experience leading systems engineering teams and executing SE activities throughout the lifecycle from conceptualization to deployment in a fast-paced product development environment. Experience or familiarity with System Safety principles (882E or 26262 experience is highly desirable) and ability to collaborate with safety engineering experts. Experience or familiarity with Software Development principles and ability to collaborate with SW engineering experts. Experience with Reliability, Availability, Maintainability (RAM) assessment.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems Engineering, Robotics or related area.Master’s Degree with 4+ year of experience OR 5+ years of experienceBenefits:
