The Front End Engineer will collaborate with a cross functional team of designers, developers, digital marketers and product owners to develop highly performing and scalable solutions for our corporate web applications.

They will need strong skills in UI web development in order to handle a variety of projects through all stages of the software development life cycle. The Front End Engineer will also be expected to contribute ideas and solutions in a creative, fast paced agile team environment, so good communication and collaboration skills are essential.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with front-end developers, designers and marketing to develop new features for our corporate websites using the Sitefinity Content Management System and/or Angular
• Work with designers and copywriters to create innovative ways of promoting our business offerings and services
• Create responsive templates, web pages and UI elements using Sitefinity CMS (.NET-based)
• Executing design requirements (e.g. from mock-ups, wireframes) to a high degree of accuracy and detail
• Implement custom CMS modules, calculators and reusable UI and MVC components based on business requirements
• Maintain and enhance an existing UI design library
• Implement Google Analytics tracking for new features and enhance tracking events for existing functionality
• Ensure the quality of all projects launched by participating in code reviews and release activities
• Develop and enhance automated tests as new features are rolled out
• Conduct research and proof of concepts for new features
• Participate in solution design exercises with designers and other developers in order to thoroughly understand and implement requirements
• Contribute to maintaining best practices, standards and procedures by participating in knowledge-sharing and ‘lessons learned’ sessions with team members

Qualifications:

• Software engineering background
• Degree, diploma or minimum 5 years equivalent directly related work experience.
• Preferred technical stack:
  • HTML, CSS, Sass, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular
  • C#, ASP.NET MVC, Node
  • Sitefinity, Wordpress
  • Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager
  • Gitlab, Git CI/CD (or other automated CI/CD pipelines)
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional, fast-paced setting.
• Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
