DAILY AND WEEKLY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: - Ability to successfully lead a programming team to ensure deadlines and customer expectations are met. - Programs interactive multimedia courseware (using a variety of software packages) to run in various user environments, such as CD-ROM, low-and high-bandwidth Internet, and networked electronic classrooms. - Selects and recommends the proper combination of software programs and tools to meet complex user needs. - Develops innovative approaches, applies design principles and generates creative solutions to meet requirements. - Monitors progress and provides status of tasks and deliverables, and escalates risks and issues in a timely manner - Analyzes, updates, and modifies software code and existing software programs. - Tests software and corrects discrepancies. Uses feedback to modify designs. - Demonstrates attention to detail. - Scales design efforts to meet production timelines. - Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as required.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS: - Associates degree or higher in Computer Science, Digital Media, or related field, and 3-5 years of progressively complex experience- PREFERRED. Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree, if applicable and or allowed under assigned contract. - Experience with: - JavaScript programming including the JQuery Core API - REQUIRED. - Unity 3D - REQUIRED. - JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) - REQUIRED. - Extensible Markup Language (XML) document and data encoding - REQUIRED. - Microsoft SQL, MySQL and other relational database systems - PREFERRED - Version control workflow - PREFERRED - Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum and test-driven approach- PREFERRED. - HTML and HTML5 markup programming languages, including CSS - REQUIRED. - Representational State Transfer (ReST) protocol - PREFERRED. - Visual Studio and the .NET framework - PREFERRED. - SCORM 2004 3rd and 4th editions including the Tin Can API - PREFERRED. - Interoperability with Learning Management Systems (LMS), such as SHARP, AtlasPro, Meridian, etc. - PREFERRED. - Experience with leading a programming team. - PREFERRED.. - Experience with NKO/JKO and/or Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), and Navy ILE helpful. – Preferred. - Due to the nature of the work at Carley, this position requires U.S. citizenship – REQUIRED. - Carley Corporation requires all employees to be fully vaccinated upon hire or be eligible for a legal accommodation under ADA or Title VII – REQUIRED. - Employees living 50 miles or less of the Carley corporate office will be deemed as local and must have the ability and means to support onsite hours – REQUIRED. - Employees must be a legal resident of a state in which Carley Corporation is registered to perform services (see list below) – REQUIRED.
