Job Overview**
The Technical Specialist provides technical support to the program manager and meet program quality control and accreditation requirements for programs such as Recycled Content and Health Product Declaration and Declare. Program certification allows companies to leverage their certified products in the market and confirm compliance to green building criteria such as USGBC - LEED, Government Purchasing Specifications, and consumer brand’s and retailers’ environmental performance criteria.
The Technical Specialist actively supports the Program Manager in completing client billable work, ongoing program development, ensuring conformance with corporate and program quality control requirements, and other tasks as assigned. **

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Complete audits and meet client deadlines.
- Complete clearly written audit reports following program requirements.
- Communicate professionally with peers, clients, consultants and managers.
- Manage multiple projects and successfully meet timelines.
- Communicate technical information to clients and respond in a timely manner.
- Support in updating and program documentation as needed.
- Support quality control activities such as technical report reviews, program document control; document and track client conformance issues; internal and external accreditation audits.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of the standards relevant to certification programs.
- Coordinate and assist in both onsite (if required) and desk audits for both domestic and international clients as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in quantitative sciences (e.g. Engineering, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Environmental);
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Professional experience or working knowledge of manufacturing processes, third-party certification, or supply chain management
- Professional experience in both written and verbal client communication.
- Organized and experienced in prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Thrives in a deadline driven environment by completing complex tasks and deliverables on time.
- Ability to work productively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Detail-oriented
- Able to interpret standard requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional and technical experience in manufacturing facility within the consumer electronics industry, metals industry, plastic recycling, textile/apparel industry, building materials or other relevant industry sector
- Professional experience as an auditor in a relevant field
- Lead Auditor/Practitioner status in ISO 9001 or ISO 14001
- Experience or working knowledge of green building rating systems (e.g. LEED AP)
- Professional experience in any of the following industries: Building Materials, Furniture, Textiles, or Packaging

Working Remotely**
At this time, SCS Global Services is recruiting all open roles to be remote; allowing our employees the ability to work flexibly and allowing SCS as a company to diversify the experience and perspectives of our growing workforce. This role will be based out of your home office. **
Estimated Annual Salary**
$52,000 - $66,000 **
