The role**

Job Summary

The Microsoft Advisory Services (MAS) Licensing Consultant is a Microsoft licensing expert that works directly with enterprise customers to achieve favorable contractual outcomes. The Consultant is also an expert at assisting with contract negotiations, making complex licensing principles understandable, analyzing data, and making sound recommendations to customers. The Consultant also helps push the MAS department forward by innovating new ways to interpret, present, and deliver new IP. The Consultant will also assist sales by delivering periodic Microsoft Licensing Estate Reviews (MLER’s) to win new business.

This is a dynamic position that requires the individual to create pricing options analyses via Excel, presentations via PowerPoint, and professional communication via email, phone, web conference, and written reports.

The MAS team is a close but welcoming group of consultants who take great pride in delivering exceptional services to its clients. The team regularly receives top marks on customer surveys and is generally regarded as experts in the field of Microsoft contract and renewal consulting. **

Role And Responsibilities**

  • Directly performing Microsoft workshops, including discovery of Microsoft technology usage and strategic direction, as well as “knowledge transfer” of relevant product information.
  • Presenting analyses and outcomes to all levels of business stakeholders.
  • Performing presales calls to drive sales of Microsoft Advisory Services and other services offered by SoftwareOne.
  • Analyzing and fully understanding MLS reports and providing clear, understandable licensing estate visuals.
  • Thinking and acting independently to solve customer problems.
  • Creating and developing new and innovative content for service delivery.
  • Maintaining knowledge related to Microsoft software licensing, ITAM, IT security, digital experience, and automation.
  • Thought leadership regarding market trends related to product and sku usage, negotiation tactics, and changes to the Microsoft product landscape.
  • Upholding SoftwareOne values and acting as an integral part of a successful team of consultants.

  • Maintain CSAT Score at or above 4.5
  • Exceed 65% chargeability

Unique Requirements:

  • Position requires 20% travel

Additional Information:

  • The estimated annual pay range for this position is $130,000 - $140,000 salary which includes a base salary and variable. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
