The impact you will make:**
Agios Pharmaceuticals is searching for a dynamic Sr. Director, Global Value, Access, and Pricing to join our Global Commercial Strategy team. The Sr. Director will be responsible for leading the development and execution of value, access, and pricing strategies to support patient access to our medicines outside the US. This will include conducting payer research, developing pricing strategies, identifying value drivers, informing trial design and asset strategies, and supporting BD/licensing assessments and agreements.
Reporting to the Vice President, Global Commercial Strategy, the Sr. Director, Global Value, Access, and Pricing is a key member of the Global Commercial Strategy team and will work closely with the Program teams, Commercial Analytics, Corporate Strategy and US Market Access teams to ensure goal alignment and meet corporate objectives. Strong strategy, collaboration, leadership, and communication skills are essential for this role. Those best suited for this role will have a deep understanding of ex-US reimbursement, commercialization, and business development. **
What You Will Do**
- Lead the development of global market access and pricing strategies for the Agios portfolio
- Act as the secretary for the pricing and market access committee lead by Agio’s Chief Commercial Officer
- Provide input to Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs and Program teams on payer relevant endpoints and market access considerations for trial design and asset strategies. Support delivery of Target Product Profiles (TPPs) for products, including BD assets
- Conduct access landscape and pricing assessments for BD/licensing assets, with input from the US Market Access team
- Guide pricing and reimbursement elements of collaborations with external partners. Support management of commercial distributors outside the US.
- Provide input to the HEOR team on value dossiers and economic models to support pricing and reimbursement submissions outside the US.
- Co-manage with Commercial Operations and Analytics ex-US payer insight-gathering projects including advisory boards and market research
- Plan and manage vendor activities and budget
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree (MBA) preferred and a minimum of 10 years experience in biotech/pharmaceuticals, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
- Solid understanding of health care systems, stakeholders and reimbursement trends across the world and significant experience in gaining access and reimbursement in countries outside the US
- Strong clinical and commercial understanding of rare diseases, including rare blood indications
- Ability to thrive in a cross-functional, highly collaborative and fast paced environment and be flexible and adaptable to evolving business needs
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, and ability to gain credibility, engender trust and influence at all levels, with internal and external stakeholders
Work Location:
Location Agnostic: Work location for this role is based on employee's individual preference. This role has the ability to be either remote in the US or hybrid in our Cambridge Headquarters. Hybrid schedules vary but are generally less than 3 days per week onsite and hybrid employees are expected to live within commutable distance to our Cambridge Headquarters. Remote employees work entirely from home except for attending Company sponsored events/ meetings. For employees who choose to work remotely, travel may be required for certain company events commensurate to the above job description. **
