As an Account Executive, it is required to reside in the assigned territory or within a reasonable distance (this role is for the Calgary, Alberta area).

Scope:

The Myopia Management and Specialty Account Executive (MMS AE) for the Calgary region territory is responsible for sales, development, and growth of a defined territory in alignment with company sales processes, plans and objectives and for collaborating with colleagues for mutually beneficial business outcomes. This role will be responsible for the successful implementation of the CooperVision myopia management and specialty lens systems into ECP practices, helping develop CooperVision’s myopia management and specialty lens programs, working closely with field sales and professional affairs to maximize opportunities through education, relationship building, marketing and sales support to each targeted office. **

Job Summary:**

In this role, you will be tasked with managing, developing and growing business with existing and new customers to expand the distribution of the CooperVision Inc. myopia management and specialty lens product portfolios, building professional sales relationships with assigned customers, and utilizing a consultative selling style while operating independently. This position requires daily in-person and virtual client interactions with Eye Care Professionals, along with new business prospecting. You will be responsible for collaborating with colleagues for mutually beneficial business outcomes.

This role can be brought into the customer relationship by the designated CVI Territory Manager for the specific purpose of building a myopia management system, an irregular cornea practice, or by directly establishing and building a new customer relationship through leads and targeting strategies. This system will encompass all aspects of CooperVision’s myopia management and specialty lens products, that optimizes targeted patient engagement, patient education, consultation and follow up, to ensure successful treatment over the years of use, and growth of our customers’ myopia management and specialty lens practice. **

Essential Functions & Accountabilities:**

  • Meets and exceeds projected sales goals based on territory quota established by sales management for the given territory
  • Establishes and executes an effective call cycle and territory business plan to meet or exceed sales objectives and returns Customer inquiries within 24 hours
  • Demonstrates exceptional selling skills; business acumen, presentation and communication skills, to influence customers in developing myopia management and specialty lens business
  • Complete understanding of eye care industry, competitive landscape including competitive products and product portfolio to meet and exceed customer needs and increase CooperVision’s market share and presence
  • Demonstrates knowledge of customer needs, priorities, and practice dynamics
  • Responsible for the integration, training and flawless execution of each component of CooperVision’s myopia management and specialty lens suite of technologies, treatment program and value-added products and services to enhance customer experience
  • Implements marketing plans and promotions to grow business and monitor to ensure return on investment
  • Interprets clinical studies and market data to add credibility, overcome objectives and influence the sales process in a compelling manner
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen and ability to understand the customer’s business needs to best assess how to implement a myopia management and specialty lens practice
  • Integrating new accounts, newly certified practitioners, and initiate call within 24 hours
  • Providing practice management training for practitioners and staff via onsite visits, webinars, phone, and email communication
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships will all key stakeholders such as Sales leaderships, Peers, Marketing, Corporate Accounts, Sales Support, etc
  • Submits all timely reports, including but not limited to, CRM call reports, expense reports, territory reviews and ROI reports
  • Is well versed and familiar with CooperVision customer agreements and policies regarding the myopia treatment and specialty lens process and requirements

Travel Requirements:

  • Extensive travel within territory up to 90%
  • Overnight travel within territory or region up to 10%
  • Limited international and/or outside of Province travel (3 - 4 times per year average)

**_ - Self-driven with an excellent ability to work independently - Influences sales process at expert level - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills - Effectively identify, evaluate and assimilate information to render quality decisions - Ability to make high‐level presentations to various sized customer groups - Strong ability to partner and coach internal sales team members and customers - Knowledge and experience in optometry practice setting preferred - Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite of tools - Daily use of Salesforce CRM to report client interactions and utilize report to analyze products, account sales and overall territory growth - Excellent organizational skills and territory management - Positive attitude and constructive team collaboration, as well as building strong relationships - Ability to adapt to a changing work environment; various situations, individuals and/or groups.

Work Environment:

  • Remote employee within territory - Calgary - with home office environment

Experience:

  • 2+ Years of clinical fitting experience, preferably with specialty contact lenses
  • 3+ Years of Optical Industry experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Licensed Contact Lens Fitting Optician license required
  • Valid driver’s license required
