Job description

Trusts & Foundation Officer, Wales

Salary: Pro rata of £26,915, with future progression to £30,242 (pro rata).

Location: The role can be remote based at home, or office based, or a combination of office/home based, depending on your preference. Our office locations are Cardiff, Birkenhead or Birmingham.

Hours: 21 – 28 Hours per week

The Vacancy
We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and results-driven Trusts & Foundation Officer to join our Income Generation team to raise funds across all fundraising activities, with a focus on charitable funds, foundations and Welsh Government grants.

You will have an appreciation of the work of NYAS and the challenges faced by care experienced children and young people who NYAS support with a view to helping us change young lives. We have ambitious plans in Wales to secure grants to support existing projects and to develop new projects to help more young people.

Duties include:

Identify and review the grants available from trusts, organisations and Welsh Government to support the work of NYAS Cymru in Wales.
Research and write excellent funding applications to a range of funders, including Welsh Government, charitable trusts and foundations and community funds which are fully tailored to the funding criteria and motivates the funders to offer grants.
Develop compelling cases for support which package projects and their associated costs into suitable proposals for grant funding.
Co-ordinate / contribute to the completion of outcome monitoring and reporting to grant and project funders.

You will have experience in a similar role and share our passion to help more young care experienced people. You will have great relationship building skills with the ability of writing successful grant applications.

This role offers flexibility of office/home working as well as flexible hours.

We’re looking for someone to work between 21 and 28 hours per week, please indicate what your preference would be on your application form.
