You Are**

UST HealthProof is looking for an Internship Application Security Engineer who works closely with developers to ensure applications are secure from inception through release. You will be part of the Application Security team that is tasked with enabling software developers to build secure applications and products through automating security (Shifting Left). **

The Opportunity**

  • Work with Development, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure the use of secure coding practices and verification methods.
  • Assist in reviewing findings from SAST, SCA, and DAST tools.
  • Assist in identifying and developing ways to improve Application Security’s processes.

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required. **

What You Need**

  • Be able to work full-time during normal business hours for the summer.
  • Must be in the final year of studies pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills with a keen eye for details
  • Good interpersonal skills, with a willingness to ask questions and share ideas
  • Strong technology skills in a Windows-based environment, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and an aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent working knowledge of computers and company standard software; Internet research experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to perform necessary mathematical computations.
  • Ability to comprehend the consequences of various situations and make appropriate individuals aware of the same for decision-making.
  • Ability to exchange information clearly and concisely and to present ideas, report facts, and other information.
  • Ability to establish workflows, manage multiple projects, and meet necessary deadlines while maintaining composure during stressful situations occurring as a result of workloads and/or deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Interviews will begin in January 2024

These positions are for the 2024 Summer Internship Season with an expected joining date in June 2024

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. As required by local law, UST HealthProof provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York or Washington as set forth below. **

Role Location: Remote

Compensation Range:** $18-$26 per hour
