Koniag Management Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company , is seeking a Senior Jira Administrator with a Secret Clearance to support KMS and our government customer. This is a remote opportunity.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:**
- Manage user permissions for the Atlassian tools according to the needs of projects and teams.
- Test new versions of the tools and plug-ins to ensure compatibility.
- Maintain Jira projects, workflows, permissions, and users while working in the latest JIRA environment.
- Configure and maintain multiple Jira projects, workflows, schemes, settings, users, and reports.
- Develop and document standards, guidelines, and standard operating procedures for admins/users of the system.
- Research and implement best practices for configuring and administering the Enterprise Instances of Jira and Confluence, balancing the needs of multiple tenants against simplicity and minimal administration overhead.
- Collaborate with Scrum teams to define requirements, design solutions, and test implementations.
- Work with Jira filters, reporting, dashboards, workflows, fields, and Jira administration.
- Set access permissions for Jira projects and Confluence spaces.
- Ability to construct custom dashboards using various filter types in Jira.
- Provide training to technical and non-technical teams to use Atlassian tools.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with day-to-day Jira administration functionality
- Ad-Hoc report creation and distribution
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field
- 5+ years of experience supporting and customizing Jira/Confluence to meet the needs of diverse groups of customers and/or developers.
- 2+ years of experience administering Jira/Confluence enterprise instances.
- Working knowledge of both Scrum and Kanban methodologies
- Experience with administering and developing software team solutions on Atlassian tools especially JIRA and Confluence
- Advanced understanding of JIRA workflows, permission schemes, notification schemes, screens schemes, etc.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.
- Experience designing content management and data taxonomies.
- Experience setting and managing user permissions.
- Ability to hold Brown Bag lunch and learn sessions with the CPMO colleagues, to showcase and explain processes and best practices.
- Must hold or have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Working Environment & Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. **
