Koniag Management Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company , is seeking a Sr. Acquisition Contractor with a Public Trust clearance to support KMS and our government customer in Ft.Gregg- Adams, VA. This is a remote opportunity.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:**

  • Assist technical SMEs and the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) in developing acquisition packages, including conducting market research and associated reports, developing PWS/SOO/SOW, evaluation criteria, etc.
  • Support PMs with Acquisition actions
  • Provide advice on utilizing FAR based contracts for business system modernization efforts.
  • Work with Stakeholders, to draft DODi acquisition requirements documentation.
  • Utilize business acumen and communication skills to maintain stakeholder relationships, communicate with program staff, and perform risk management related to contracts.
  • Assist the Contracting Officer Representatives (COR) and Program Managers (PM) in the development and authoring of acquisition strategy and documentation.
  • Assist the government staff with contract consolidations.
  • Within broad objectives, support the development and implementation of a wide range of business solution contracts, to include drafting and coordination with stakeholders.
  • Support the contract administration process, applying expertise on the body of statutory and regulatory guidance impacting acquisition.
  • Support cost/price analysis, market research, J&A development, and develop and maintain procurement timelines.
  • Process supporting documentation for the award.
  • Analyze and advise on the performance of procurement activities against various procurement indicators and goals.
  • Provide group facilitation, interviewing, training, and additional forms of knowledge collection and requirements documentation.
  • Develop briefing decks and documentation responsive to data calls from and status updates to senior leadership.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience working in a federal government environment.
  • 7+ years' experience in defense acquisition, contract formation and management to support the development of materials for Software, System Integration, and SETA support contracts.
  • Extensive experienced writing requirements documents such as PWS, Market Research Documents, Requests for Information, Sources Sought, Justifications, Acquisition Plan/Strategy, Cost estimates, Source selection procedures.
  • U. S. Citizen with ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Knowledge And Skills (Differentiators)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understands contract financing and methods of payment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge with DoD 5000.02 to include 5000.75 and 5000.87 and software acquisition to support the development of key deliverables and work products including but not limited to:
  • Capabilities Implementation Plan
  • Initial integrated master schedule and work breakdown structure
  • Market Research, RFI's and Solution Analysis
  • Initial Intellectual Property Strategy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. **
