Job description

The primary purpose of this role is to transform the pricing capabilities of Rite Aid from a manual and fragmented architecture to a retail leading pricing team overseeing cost and retails. The role will be responsible for overhauling and rebuilding the retail price & cost process, systems, tools, analytical cadence, organizational structure, competitive price scrape quality and frequency, and strategic investments by category. The Sr Manager will assist in developing short term and long-term roadmap to modernize the pricing retail and cost architecture. **

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

  • Develop and lead an action-based, data driven team that establishes a customer-led and competitor informed retail price strategy; drive pricing strategies from conception to implementation, engage cross-functional leaders in the development and socialization of new strategies, and influence key stakeholders to ensure buy-in; restructure price architecture rules to maximize item relationships, brand relationships and own brand price positioning; monitor key pricing metrics for implemented strategies and improve performance on an ongoing basis

  • Cultivate a data-driven analytical review environment with the team and across stakeholders to identify margin enhancement opportunities or customer value perception investments; identify key insights from analyses, cutting through large amounts of data to quickly identify trends and implications on sourcing strategy & approach; assist in developing a short and long-range roadmap to modernize and automate our cost and retail systems into an agile tech stack. Reviewing scalable machine learning, advanced analytics solutions, and deep learning techniques to quantitatively plan retail changes and validate accuracy of cost changes

  • Manage and execute entire projects from start to finish including packaging business cases, cross-functional project management, data gathering and manipulation, analysis and modeling, and communication of insights and recommendations; translate insights into action, reporting on findings to category management and senior management. Use analytics to prepare for critical retail changes and support promotional and clearance tactics

  • Express clear points of view and conclusions to a wide range of internal and external audiences through effective story telling via presentations, white papers and slide presentations for the merchandise leaders, supplier partners, Senior and Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors; collaborates effectively across, and at multiple levels, of the organization. The typical starting pay range for this position is between $112,300 -$144,800
