Position Overview:**

Koniag Management Solutions (KMS) is looking for a highly qualified Project Manager to support our government customer located in Fort Eustis, VA. This opportunity offers the chance to work with some of the best and brightest minds in the Department of Defense (DoD) and US Industry to develop and implement Training and Education (T&E) products and support services for the Department of the Army and its Army Virtual Learning Environment (AVLE) 2.0. **

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:**

AVLE 2.0 is a revolutionary concept that will shift the way the Army develops and delivers training and education products to the total force. AVLE 2.0 leverages new learning using technologies in courseware design and delivery to enable the execution of rigorous, relevant, and tailorable learning content at the point of need. The AVLE 2.0 provides a total Army capability that will enable a dynamic learning environment to support the Active, Reserve and Army Civilian professional workforce with products developed at the newly defined interactivity levels of 0 through 4. AVLE 2.0 provides the Army with the ability to achieve a more effective and efficient T&E environment that will establish the conditions that are vital for the preparation of mission-ready Soldiers, leaders, civilians and organizations. AVLE 2.0 provides T&E, which can be delivered anytime and anywhere, with or without an instructor, to new and varied delivery platforms. The successful candidate will provide the following:

  • Provide project management and administrative support to ensure the requirements of the Task Order (TO) are met.
  • Adequately control and supervise all personnel who perform services under the TO
  • Provide management relating to daily operations of the task order project.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to identify requirements and specifications for AVLE 2.0
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful completion within defined constraints.
  • Lead teams of professionals involved in the development and maintenance of projects, including instructional designers, developers, and subject matter experts.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop immersive multimedia or computer-simulated virtual or augmented reality training products at Level 4 IMI.
  • Conduct regular progress meetings and provide status updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and standards.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in virtual learning environments, immersive multimedia, and computer-simulated virtual or augmented reality to inform future development efforts.
  • Act as TO’s main point of contact with the ability to resolve issues in direct coordination with the Program Manager
  • Act as the primary focal point for all issues, keeping the Program Manager fully informed, both verbally and in writing
  • Communicate project needs, coordinate project efforts, and provide process improvements thru the Quality Control Plan
  • Resolve TO scheduling issues, goals, and milestones with Program Manager
  • Maintain established work schedules and assignments of contractor employees IAW TO PWS
  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and developing personal growth and opportunities.
  • Submit TO Monthly Status Report to Program Manager
  • Attend meetings directly related to project duties to gain insight and/or provide project guidance.

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • BS/BA in Business, Management, Engineering, or Science
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience as Senior Level Manager
  • Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated management or project level management experience.
  • Knowledge of the US Army, TRADOC or The Army Distributed Learning Program (TADLP) is a plus.
  • Experience with virtual training and education is a plus.
  • Experience leading software developers, programmers and engineers is a plus.
  • Experience with Level 4 IMI - immersive multimedia or computer-simulated virtual or augmented reality, in which the learner engages in a real-life scenario responding to sensory cues is a plus.

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. **
