SENIOR SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a talented Senior Systems Administrator for our Atlanta, GA headquarters. The Atlas Primary team is spread across the United States, United Kingdom, and India, and we are continuing to expand at a rapid pace.

This is a hybrid work opportunity with 2 days per week in the midtown Atlanta office and an option to work remotely the rest of the week. Relocation is not available for this position. This position reports directly to the CTO.

Ideal candidates for the Senior Systems Administrator position will possess extensive cloud-based IT infrastructure experience, as well as skills in designing and implementing technology projects to meet business requirements. We have a complex environment that includes a number of non-standard systems and applications, and a high pace of change, so flexibility and the ability to quickly master new technologies are critical skills and you will be challenged every day to improve and expand your skill set. Exceptional communication and customer service skills are a must.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of system administration experience
  • 5+ years of experience in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementations
  • 5+ years of networking experience (VPN, switching, routing, VLANs, firewalls, wireless, 802.1x)
  • Strong knowledge of foundational Microsoft technologies (Active Directory, domains, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, PowerShell, Windows Server, and desktop operating systems)
  • Experience with cloud IaaS and SaaS platforms (Azure, Office 365, Amazon Web Services, Google Workspace, etc.)
  • Experience with creating and managing Business Continuity Plans
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable operating in a complex and rapidly evolving environment
  • Superb attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and deliver quality in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to effectively collaborate with all departments and employees

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage IT Infrastructure throughout the entire company (cloud, hosted, and local infrastructure) in accordance with industry regulations and internal policies and procedures
  • Manage and maintain all upgrades and maintenance for networking, server, software, and security solutions
  • Design and implement internal IT infrastructure projects
  • Design, evaluate and recommend new IT solutions that can help drive the business
  • Assist with securing the environment and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and security frameworks (CIS v8, ISO27001, SOC 2, NIST, etc.)
  • Assist with oversight of the security of systems, networks, and enterprise information
  • Maintain, improve, and test Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans
  • Manage integrations between cloud, hosted, and local systems
  • Document IT policies and procedures
  • Perform vendor management assessments for designated cloud and hosted environments
  • Complete client IT security questionnaires
  • Troubleshoot and solve system/software issues
  • Provide Tier 1/2/3 support
  • Other duties as assigned

DESIRABLE:

  • Experience with SAML/OIDC-based authentication and Identity Providers
  • Experience with system monitoring tools
  • Experience with device management tools such as Intune, Jamf Pro, Workspace One
  • Experience with SASE providers such as Zscaler
  • Experience in the management of various popular enterprise cloud apps
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, MCSE, Azure, AWS, VCP, Zscaler, Google Workspace Administrator
  • Experience in an external consulting role
  • Experience working with global teams
  • Experience in the Market Research or Healthcare industries
  • Familiarity with privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Programming, or related field
