What will I be doing?**

You will occupy a position central to the success of Circana’s Consumer & Shopper Insights practice. This is a client-facing position. Through enabling deep Consumer and Shopper Insights, you will be part of a team optimizing the relationship with one of top Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) manufacturers.

The Analyst will have responsibility Working with panel data to generate and report on consumer analyses in conjunction with the Lead IRI Consultant.

Key client business issues include improving targeting and messaging to increase sales, driving increased consumption and identifying new product opportunities. The Analyst will identify patterns of household behavior and turn insights into implications the client can act upon.

Externally, the Analyst will work at all levels across multiple client functions including Category Management, Consumer Insights, Sales and Brand Management. Internally, they will work with their IRI client team, Product Management, Technology, the Consumer Centric Retailing team and the broader Marketing and Shopper Intelligence team. Having the out-going personality to foster collaborative internal relationships will be essential to the Analyst’s success. **

Job Responsibilities**

  • Data from this unique IRI/Client database model is used throughout the client organization up to the CEO level. An important element of your responsibilities will be to collaborate with the IRI Data Production team to ensure daily operations are followed
  • Monitor brand health, and communicate performance to the appropriate IRI and Client teams in a fast, engaging, and meaningful way
  • Help and support strategic and thought leadership initiatives
  • Serve as a liaison between the IRI and Client production team
  • Execute periodic enhancements to the in-home consumption data source
  • Enhance partnerships with the Client’s internal Brand teams
  • Assist with execution of the internal engagement plan
  • Support continued training needs

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience, retail or CPG experience or a high degree of passion and comfort with the retail and CPG manufacturer space
  • Experience with consumer panel data or customer data
  • Expert in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, follow through, and organizational skills
  • Ability to vocalize issues, ask questions, and challenge the “status quo” when appropriate
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong project management skills; proven skills to maintain focus and poise amidst concurrent and competing priorities
  • Experience or potential to foster internal and external consultative client partnerships
  • Proven curiosity and skills to acquire, assimilate new information with little direction
  • Ability/drive to make decisions with conviction in ambiguous and fast-moving environments; must be comfortable “filling in the blanks” with only 50% of the facts at-hand
  • Undergraduate degree is required; Advanced degree is a plus
  • Experience may be gained in one or more of the environments below:
    • Top-tier consulting firm (i.e., Accenture)
    • CRM-oriented software firm (i.e. Peppers & Rodgers)
    • Retail (i.e., Target)
    • CPG manufacturer (i.e., Kraft)
    • Travel or hospitality (i.e., American Airlines or Starwood Resorts)
    • Market Research (i.e., Dunnhumby, InfoScout)

An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is [$47K to $80K].
