Enterprise Business Architect

As Enterprise Business Architect, you have the opportunity of linking the strategic, informational and technological dimensions of SNCB. You ensure the IT strategy aligns with the Business goals.

• You are a key person to help model and manage complex information. You make use of our Business Capability map to make sure we are ‘doing the rights things’. You have the overall insight and know the potential of the usage of Business Capabilities for SNCB in its Value Streams.
• Together with Business representatives and Portfolio Management you are a valuable part in shaping a modern Business aligned IT landscape.
• You work together with different stakeholders, e.g. Senior Management, SME’s (Subject Matter Experts) to further develop this IT landscape, “the flag on the horizon”, keeping alignment between Business and IT.
• You will join a team of Enterprise Architects each with a specialized role (Business, Application, Data & Technology (incl. Security) and act as a trusted internal advisor to our Management.
• You are the key person in the stakeholder management between the different Enterprise Architects and the Domain Architects which have the responsibility to improve the overall IT architectural maturity (process, data and technology dimension) of a specific SNCB directorate.

Education and Training

This role requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data science, information
systems, or related study field (or equivalent work experience).

Experience
As a candidate you should have :

• A minimum of twelve years of experience in IT, with at least seven years in closely related
  domain (working as Enterprise Architect, Business Analyst …). This is a Senior profile level position.
• Strategy and management consulting experience is highly recommended to act as partner for
  Senior Management and CxO’s both from IT- as Business side.

• Knowledge of compliance and Enterprise Architecture frameworks. Examples are TOGAF®
  and COBIT®.
• Knowledge of specific Enterprise Business Architecture frameworks. Example is Business Architecture Guild’s BIZBOK Guide®. Business Capability and Value Streams are key concepts to master.
• Profound knowledge and experience in ArchiMate®, certification is considered as an
  additional plus.
• Experience with ADOIT Enterprise Architecture Suite is considered as an additional plus.
• Demonstrated communication, presentation and facilitation skills, including the ability to
  explain digital concepts and technologies to business leaders, and business concepts to
  technologists.
• Fluent in English and Dutch and/or French (Passive understanding of 3^rd language mandatory)
