The Opportunity

“As the Sr. Manager, Global Physical Security Operations, you will play a key role in the overall success of the Global Security and Safety (GSS) function at FICO. This new role demands an enthusiastic self-starter with subject matter expertise in a wide array of physical security related areas in a corporate setting. To be successful, you must be an effective collaborator with cross-functional partners, a leader and sole contributor, oversee several GSS programs and initiatives that include physical security technologies, security vulnerability remediation, emergency preparedness and response, project and vendor management, and awareness training for FICO offices, data centers, and personnel.” – Director, Global Security and Safety 

What You’ll Contribute 

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to remediate physical risks by overseeing effective, prioritized projects in the areas of electronic access control, video management, visitor management, credentialing, and emergency response.  

  • Evaluate security vulnerabilities at existing and new office locations and manage implementation of physical security solutions that align with GSS philosophies.

  • Oversee standardization and best-practice administration of existing enterprise security technologies.

  • In partnership with Facilities leadership, provide guidance on security vendor/integrator selection, engagement, and relationship management to ensure timely and effective service delivery in meeting GSS objectives.

  • Evaluate security vulnerability assessments to proactively identify, recommend, and implement security strategies to meet GSS and business needs.  

  • Provide security operations support as may be required during events and other initiatives as may be assigned. 

  • Identify areas where policies, procedures, and standards have opportunities for improvement and oversee defining and implementing updates as needed.  

  • Manage administrative tasks and drive efficiencies to support a financially sustainable security practice.  

  • Elevate a security awareness culture using various methods, channels, and promotional opportunities.  

  • Seek opportunities to enhance workplace safety practices and work with corporate partners to implement appropriate standardized strategies.  

  • Oversee the development of emergency response plans for a range of security incidents at office locations globally; be available as an additional point of contact in an emergency or during critical situations.  

  • Assist in the creation. modification, and implementation of policies, procedures, and standards in support of the GSS mission.  

  • Develop, collect, and analyze appropriate metrics to measure aspects of global physical security performance and maturity.  

What We’re Seeking 

  • Ambitious and highly motivated mid-career level physical security program manager with 8+ years’ experience in a corporate setting. Experience with a global organization in the technology sector a plus.

  • Successful military or law enforcement service desired, having both preferred.  

  • Substantial knowledge of physical security technologies, including electronic access control systems, video management platforms, and visitor management processing.

  • Experience in physical security system design principles, working with security integrators, and commissioning/decommissioning processes. Experience as a service provider a plus.

  • An organized multi-tasker and efficient time manager overseeing physical security programs and projects required.

  • Demonstrated success in the physical security industry. CPP or PSP Certification desired.

  • Knowledge of physical security compliance requirements of ISO27001, PCI DSS, NIST, and SOC 2 desired.

  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional partners in achieving desired outcomes in an oftentimes fast-paced and demanding environment.

  • Possess superior attention to detail, flexibility, and follow-through to effectively manage concurrent and competing priorities.

  • The ability to create, foster, and maintain professional relationships with all levels of a culturally diverse global organization. 

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications and online web-based services. 

  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. Experience contributing to the development of RFPs, guidelines, and standards preferred. 

  • Occasional late nights or weekend work may be required.

  • Ability to occasionally travel both domestically and internationally sometimes on short notice.
