This position is 100% remote, though this person must be located in the Los Angeles area - The team has frequent collaboration events.
You will
Partner closely with product marketers, product designers, visual designers, product managers, legal, and research to solve real problems for people as they navigate our products and services for solutions that meet their needs.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of our products, the personas shopping for them, the competitive landscape, as well as market trends
Write clear, concise, engaging content and turn complex legal jargon into language that our customers can easily understand.
Craft purchase and onboarding flows, emails, webpages, notifications, and UI copy across both web and mobile.
Through a deep understanding of our customers, position LegalZoom’s offerings as solutions to pain points.
Express LegalZoom’s brand voice consistently and effectively across product touchpoints following brand guidelines and in-house editorial style—while pushing the boundaries wherever appropriate to keep it fresh.
Maintain a close partnership with marketing copywriters, contributing to an evolving content design system, and ensuring consistency of brand voice and product messaging across all customer touchpoints.
Proactively identify opportunities to develop a more seamless, consistent, end-to-end customer experience in terms of messaging and business performance
Demonstrate familiarity with industry best practices for content design, accessibility, and commercialization and be able to apply these practices to improve the quality of deliverables and the customer experience.
Generate lots of ideas for execution, proactively seek feedback and critique from designers and cross-functional partners, and have a strong point of view that you can back up with personal expertise, customer input, and industry trends
Collaborate effectively—including creatively handling constraints—with partners across brand, marketing, product, engineering, legal, and c-suite.
Juggle multiple projects at one time, using strong communication skills to manage time and expectations appropriately.
Think on your feet and execute quickly against deadlines.
Contribute productively to the Brand & Creative team culture by participating in critique and reviews, sharing inspiration and trends, and being an active part of the team’s day-to-day operations.
You will
5-8 years of experience in content strategy, UX writing, and/or marketing writing. Experience in ecommerce products and services (specifically online services with purchase flows - less so CPG) is preferred
Bachelor’s degree or more in English, History, Journalism, or similar field.
Strong online portfolio showcasing your craft, impact, and collaborative process.
Obsession with solving customer problems, championing the customer’s needs, and expressing customer experiences in ways they can navigate with ease.
Top-notch written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to present your work to cross-functional teams and leadership.
Tenacious cross-functional partnership, with an ability to build trust and a knack for finding compromises with key stakeholders and business partners.
Curiosity and a willingness to test new ideas quickly to drive business results and improve the customer experience.
Understanding of key business metrics
Commitment to quality and speed without compromising on either.
Mastery of Google docs and comfort with working directly in Figma, especially working with components and managing stakeholder feedback.
LegalZoom is a remote-first company and the national range for this role is ($104,600 - $135,650). Actual compensation offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to: geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, and/or other business and organizational needs. In addition, an annual bonus, incentive bonus and/or restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package.
