About our Client and the role

Our client is a financial technology company serving asset managers, insurances, pension funds and wealth managers.

We are looking for a Security Operations Engineer in the Microsoft stack for 3-4 days a week for an initial contract of 2 months. Skills in Microsoft Defender, Sentinel and digital forensics when faced with a security incident are quite important to the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and Analysis: Continuously monitor networks and systems for security breaches or intrusions. Analyze security alerts and determine the appropriate response.
  • Incident Response: Respond to security incidents, conduct investigations, and implement measures to prevent future occurrences.
  • Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security weaknesses.
  • Policy Development: Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT and security teams to design and implement security solutions and improvements.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of security incidents, changes, and updates to the security infrastructure.
  • Training and Awareness: Provide training and guidance to staff on security best practices and emerging threats.

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with the following tools is desirable:
    • Microsoft Defender
    • Microsoft Purview
    • Microsoft Intune
    • Microsoft Azure
    • Amazon Web Services
    • Windows 11 Operating System
    • Linux.
