Simulmedia is looking for talented and motivated Data Science interns to join our team in Kyiv or Lviv, Ukraine. This paid internship program provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced advertising technology industry. As a Data Science intern, you will work on developing and optimizing machine learning models, maintaining existing solutions, and conducting data analysis to drive insights for real-world applications.
Our company has offices in Kyiv and Lviv. The Data Science team is primarily based in Kyiv and works remotely, with occasional in-person team meetings in the office.
Duration
● 3-6 months (May 2025 - October 2025)

What You'll Do
● Conduct Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to extract meaningful insights
● Build, train, and evaluate Machine Learning models
● Maintain existing models
● Develop data pipelines and ensure efficient data processing
● Create analytical reports and visualize findings for stakeholders
● Collaborate with engineers and product teams to integrate models into production
What You'll Learn

● Best practices in version control and collaboration using Git/GitHub

Qualifications
● Strong knowledge of Python and core libraries for Data Analysis, Visualization, and Machine Learning (e.g., pandas, numpy, scipy, matplotlib, scikit-learn)
● Understanding of fundamental Machine Learning concepts: regression, classification, clustering, and artificial neural networks
● Familiarity with Git and GitHub for version control
● Basic knowledge of higher mathematics and statistics
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
● Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
● Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
● Experience with Big Data analysis methodologies
● Familiarity with AWS services (e.g., S3, Athena, EMR)
● Hands-on experience with Tableau
● Knowledge of SQL and database querying
