Extreme Networks is seeking a intern to support the State-Local Government and Education sales teams. This team is responsible for driving new business, as well as building and maintaining customer loyalty in a key segment of Extreme’s customer base. As a member of the team, the intern will interact with various cross-functional teams, including operations, marketing, and channels to help drive our go-to-market strategy and support some of our top initiatives.
Position Responsibilities
• Assist in identifying and developing new market opportunities with major e-commerce platforms such as Amazon.
• Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and potential customer needs.
• Support the sales team in creating and executing strategic sales plans to penetrate new markets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights.
• Analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and growth.
• Help manage and maintain relationships with key accounts and partners.
• Prepare and present reports on market analysis, sales performance, and potential opportunities.
• Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and other professional development activities.
• Assist in the creation of marketing materials and sales presentations.
• Provide administrative support to the sales team as needed.
Requirements (Intern Level)
• Business, Management, Sales, Entrepreneurship, Marketing focused students interested in getting experience and exposure to the world of Networking and Service Delivery
• Skilled at using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently with some direction.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a sales environment.
• Curiosity to understand what’s needed to provide technical support services, build stronger customer relationships, and implement Extreme Solutions to customers
• Excellent time management, communication and organizational skills
• Willingness to adapt to changing work environments/people/process/tools
