We are seeking a talented and creative eLearning Media Designer to join our team. This role is pivotal in developing compelling, engaging, and educational content for our online education courses. The ideal candidate will be skilled in crafting engaging scripts and storyboards for eLearning courses, and proficient in creating high-quality video content to complement the learning experience.
What you'll do here:
Scriptwriting:
Based on content from Subject Matter Experts, develop concise, engaging, and pedagogically sound scripts for eLearning videos, including instructional content and interactive media.
Create detailed storyboards that contain all critical components; audio, visual, and motion graphic components
Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure the accuracy and clarity of educational content.
Creative storyteller with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, creative, and visually engaging stories tailored for diverse audiences.
Video Production:
Create high-quality videos through filming/animating, editing, and post-production Design and create visual elements such as animations, graphics, and transitions to enhance video engagement.
Maintain compliance with internal guidelines and accessibility standards (e.g., captions, transcripts)
Oversee video vendors, provide feedback, and ensure project delivery aligns with internal expectations.
Attend and oversee live video shoots when necessary.
Create shot lists for live video shoots to ensure an efficient production process.
Project Collaboration:
Work closely with learning designers, multimedia designers, and SMEs to align media content with learning goals.
Incorporate feedback from team members and SMEs to refine and improve scripts and videos.
Manage deadlines to ensure timely delivery of scripts and video content for multiple courses in development.
Quality Assurance:
Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in scripts and storyboards. Maintain high-quality standards throughout pre-production, video creation, and post-production process.
Review scripts and videos to ensure high-quality standards, engaging storytelling, and technical accuracy.
Conduct research on emerging eLearning trends and techniques to incorporate innovative ideas into projects.
Skills you will need here:
Online portfolio that showcases your skills, creativity, and expertise.
Proven experience in scriptwriting and storyboarding for eLearning, education, or media production.
Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and animation tools (e.g., After Effects) to create polished and dynamic visual content.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition).
Deep understanding of storytelling principles and instructional design frameworks.
Strong grasp of design principles, including typography, color theory, and layout.
Basic knowledge of HTML5 and CSS
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Dreamweaver for editing HTML/CSS
Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) like Moodle, Blackboard or Canvas.
Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG 2.2) guidelines for video content.

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.
