The Job

SCAN's Clinical Center of Excellence serves as an engine for diffusion of novel solutions across the health plan and portfolio companies to promote senior longevity, independence, access to care, and improved clinical outcomes while supporting operational efficiency and financial sustainability. 

The Clinical Strategy Manager will play a key role in driving the development and execution of clinical strategies aimed at improving healthcare outcomes for seniors. This position will support the Clinical Center of Excellence in implementing innovative solutions across the health plan and portfolio companies, focusing on enhancing senior longevity, independence, and access to care while ensuring operational efficiency and financial sustainability.

You Will

  • Initiates and develops clinical program strategies by working with business leaders and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, objectives, and deliverables, aligning with SCAN’s overall clinical and strategic priorities.
  • Leads the design and execution of clinical solutions and care transformation programs aimed at enhancing quality, reducing costs, and improving operational efficiency.
  • Prepares and delivers clear and impactful presentation materials, including slides, reports, dashboards, and business case analysis, that communicate complex clinical and strategic information to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication of recommendations, program progress, and key milestones while maintaining ongoing relationships to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Analyzes and monitors clinical program effectiveness by collecting data, tracking KPIs, and adjusting strategies to optimize outcomes, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and compliance.
  • Provides consultative leadership to cross-functional teams, guiding them in the development and deployment of clinical solutions, ensuring collaboration across departments to meet program goals.
  • Manages risk and resolves issues by identifying potential roadblocks, proposing mitigation strategies, and escalating concerns as necessary to keep programs on track and aligned with expectations.
  • Oversees program execution within budget, managing resources, timelines, and third-party vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective delivery without compromising quality or outcomes.
  • Fosters a culture of continuous improvement by reviewing program data, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing best practices for clinical operations and care delivery.
  • Performs business analyst functionalities, including documenting future state business and technical requirements, process flow diagrams, and design documents to ensure comprehensive and actionable program documentation.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare or Business Administration
    • A comparable combination of education/experience and/or training will be considered equivalent to the education listed above. 
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar certification, preferred
  • 5+ years project or program management, with an Intermediate to Advanced understanding of project management principals.
  • 3+ years experience within the healthcare industry, preferred.
  • Consulting experience, preferred
  • Clinical program design experience with familiarity with clinical program delivery.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and experience in group motivation skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required; with experience in formal presentations, ability to appropriately and effectively address diverse audiences and ability to effectively facilitate group interactions.
  • Adapts to changes in priorities and assignments quickly and efficiently and is flexible with project assignments.
  • Proven self-starter, excellent organizational characteristics, quality minded; able to work independently and with limited supervision.
  • Ability to appropriately maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, required.
