Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced UX Designer to join our team. This role is crucial for assessing and redesigning our current system, ensuring that we deliver polished, professional designs that enhance user experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UX/UI design, with a focus on implementation and a collaborative approach to design.

Job Responsibilities

• Assessment and Redesign: Conduct a thorough assessment of the current system, identifying areas for improvement and redesigning the user experience to meet modern standards.
• Implementation Participation: Actively participate in the implementation of the redesigned system, ensuring that designs are executed effectively and efficiently.
• Design Creation: Create polished, professional designs that are user-friendly and align with enterprise-grade standards. This includes developing mockups and prototypes using tools like Figma.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to ensure that design concepts are understood and implemented correctly.
• Ownership of UX/UI Stream: Take ownership of the UX/UI design process, leading initiatives and providing guidance to team members as needed.
• Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest design trends and best practices, integrating new ideas and methodologies into your work.

Basic Qualifications

Must-Have Skills

• JavaScript: Proficiency in modern JavaScript is essential for creating interactive and dynamic user interfaces. The candidate should be comfortable with ES6 syntax and concepts.
• Portfolio: Submission of a verifiable portfolio is a required part of the application process
• CSS: Strong skills in CSS are required to style applications effectively. The candidate should be familiar with CSS preprocessors (like SASS or LESS) and methodologies (like BEM or OOCSS) to maintain clean and scalable styles.
• React: Experience with React is crucial for building user interfaces. The candidate should understand component-based architecture and be able to create reusable components.
• Figma: Proficiency in Figma is necessary for designing user interfaces and creating prototypes. The candidate should be able to leverage Figma's collaborative features to work with team members.
• Responsive Web Design: A strong understanding of responsive web design principles is required to ensure that applications function well across various devices and screen sizes.
• UX/UI Design: The candidate must have a solid foundation in UX and UI design principles, including user-centered design, usability testing, and accessibility standards.
• Mockups and Implementation: The ability to create mockups and designs and implement them directly is essential. The candidate should not only design but also ensure that the designs are translated into functional applications.
• Design Theory: A solid understanding of design theory, including color theory, typography, and layout principles, is advantageous for creating aesthetically pleasing and effective designs.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Managed Service Provider Experience: Experience working with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) is a plus, as it provides insight into the unique challenges and requirements of this sector.
• Cyber Insurance Product Experience: Familiarity with cyber insurance products can be beneficial, as it helps in understanding the specific needs and expectations of users in this domain.
• Design Theory: A solid understanding of design theory, including color theory, typography, and layout principles, is advantageous for creating aesthetically pleasing and effective designs.
