We’re on the search for an Instructional Designer to support various learning and development programs at Granicus. The successful candidate will work closely with our core L&D team and business stakeholders to design and develop results-oriented learning that is engaging, inspirational, and highly effective.  

This is an opportunity to design and develop dynamic training and development offerings that will have a direct impact on the success of the company and the professional development of all employees at Granicus. 

What Your Impact Will Look Like Here
  • Collaborate with our Learning & Development Specialists to assess and prioritize training and development needs, perform skills gap analyses, and partner with subject-matter experts to determine the key learning outcomes, steps, and activities to effectively close identified skill gaps. 
  • Design and produce engaging training and development programs, learning pathways, courses, activities, and assessments (formative & summative) using appropriate ID models. 
  • Implement training and development programs using various L&D delivery tools (e.g., LMS, website, email, Zoom/MS Teams). 
  • Evaluate learning and development programs to measure reaction, learning, impact/behavior, and results and report on key metrics to the Director of Learning & Development. 
  • Keep existing training and development programs up to date; develop and execute refresh schedule for all L&D courseware that you own. 
  • Proactively look for opportunities to improve the design and delivery of training and development programs at Granicus.

  • You have a minimum of three years of experience in instructional design, with experience designing and developing a variety of learning and development programs for various proficiency levels in the organization. 
  • You have creative design skills and excel in applying them to the development of eLearning and instructor-led training programs using tools like Storyline, Rise, Adobe Creative Cloud, Camtasia, SnagIt, Tango, WellSaid Labs, WordPress (Divi), CSS, and more. 
  • You have strong project management experience with the ability to design project plans and define and estimate work break downs; you can manage multiple projects simultaneously.  
  • You have excellent organization, time management, and communication skills. 
  • Familiarity with LearnUpon LMS a plus.
