About the role
This position interacts with the Business Managers and Operating Staff to understand and provide accurate control data and predict the operational and financial performance of the facility or facilities (Line of Business) under its responsibility. In addition, will have direct responsibility to oversee monthly reporting activities performed under USGAAP, internal policies and procedure as well as to determine the application and implementation of adequate internal controls to comply with regulatory requirements established by Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
This position will directly report to the Senior Director of Finance to support and manage the monthly and full-year forecast, budgeting and long-term plans including preparing financial presentations and performing capital expenditure analysis as well partner with Regional FP&A to improve and standardize reporting tools across the facilities and the south region.
- Partner with the facility/Regional management in achieving business objectives including financial, operational, and commercial.
- Support Facility Managers, Area Managers, Commercial Organization, Asset Managers, COO, Chief Commercial Officer, and Region Leaders to perform contract reviews, commercial proposals and scenario planning.
- Partner with Shared Service Center Organization (SSC) to ensure timely reporting of financial statements for all facilities under his/her responsibility are performed in compliance with US generally accepted accounting (US GAAP) principles, internal policies, SOX and procedures.
- Interact with Internal and external auditors to coordinate facilities and SSC to prepare and deliver all documentation required for internal and external audits.
- Support Sr Finance Director of Operations, Sr Director Commercial Finance, Regional FP&A and partner with Corporate FP&A as well as Shared Service Center teams to ensure timely, accurate and insightful financial analysis that allow to monitor business KPIs (including collections / account receivables) and enable effective decision making. Supervise in collaboration with all areas and functions process around accounts payable, payroll, fixed assets, accounts receivable, financial reporting, cost accounting and inventory controls.
- Partner with key stakeholders across the facilities, region and corporate FP&A to develop forecasts and budgets, as well as with accounting teams to deliver monthly closing processes thus to strength and align reporting requirements for capital, KPIs, among others.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on consolidated area performance against budget and prior year including financial walk across and bridges to generate insightful analytics for price and volume analytics. Drive a fact-based forecasting and planning process across all areas of responsibility to ensure the organization delivers timely and accurate forecasts and plans that are consistent with internal and external expectations.
- Perform operational statistical and metrics tracking, evaluate financial performance comparing actual results to plans while also making recommendations to obtain goals.
- Provides financial support in delivering monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting to monitor targets versus budget and long-term plan. Evaluate financial and operation performance (operational statistical and metrics tracking) and make recommendations to obtain goals. Includes preparing financial reporting packages and explanations.
- Develop new analysis views to assist in analyzing financial performance, KPIs, etc., including any special projects and ad hoc request as assigned and required.
- Evaluate and assess capital allocation, capital project justifications and financials to ensure ROI by partner with facilities and functional areas to ensure prompt execution of all approved investment as well as to find initiative to obtain capital savings in all business initiatives developed. Including but not limited to capacity expansions, sourcing projects, benchmarking and network optimizations to improve cost effectiveness and meet business needs.
- Deliver expense analytics to support cost management allocation, expense reduction and support to improve budget and forecast accuracy.
- Review cost accounting practices and provide clear guidelines to facilities to ensure consistency, standardization, alignment in concepts and accounts across the Region and Corporate Finance
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Administration, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field with demonstrated experience. CPA or MBA is a plus.
- 15 Years or equivalent experience in Finance Commercial, Finance FP&A, Finance Supply Chain, Plant Controller performing finance competencies in a highly complex regional operation. Project modeling and scenario planning is a plus.
- Ability to interpret and adhere to contractual language, experience, knowledge and understanding of multiple finance disciplines such as decision support, financial planning, reporting and analysis, P&L management, cash flow, manufacturing cost accounting and capital allocation.
- Other Experiences: Product P&L, regional HQ, G&A expenses, cost control, process improvement and standardization, turns arounds (Business units, product P&L, cashflow), project implementation, process improvement and standardization.

- Strong knowledge on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and/or Enterprise Performance Management (EPM): JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (Oracle), SAP, Cognos, Hyperion, CAFE, Tableau BI, SmartView.
