Accounting Analyst - Brazil - Remote

As we continue to expand, we are looking for a dedicated Accounting Analyst to focus on maintaining accurate and compliant accounting processes within our organization.

Position Overview:

The Accounting Analyst will be responsible for managing core accounting functions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role will be pivotal in supporting the company’s operational accounting needs, with a strong focus on transactions, reconciliations, and reporting. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure the accuracy of our accounting systems while streamlining processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare and review financial statements and ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
• Conduct account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of all financial records.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Assist in preparing documentation for audits and support compliance with all regulatory accounting requirements.
• Collaborate with the operations team to track expenses, inventory, and revenue specific to our scooter rental model.
• Ensure the accurate handling and documentation of fixed assets, including depreciation schedules for our fleet of scooters.
• Support internal control initiatives to strengthen accounting procedures and improve operational efficiency.
• Assist in reviewing tax filings and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 3+ years of experience in an accounting role, with a strong understanding of core accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple accounting tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English (mandatory)

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in the transportation, rental, or subscription service industries.
• Familiarity with managing fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
• Experience working with high-volume transactional environments.
