Position Overview

  • The Senior Cloud Engineer is responsible for identifying the most optimal cloud-based solutions for our clients and maintaining cloud infrastructure in accordance with best practices and company security policies. They will also be responsible for deployment and maintenance of cloud systems, educating teams on new cloud initiatives, and ensuring the security of the cloud infrastructure. They will work with multiple teams to develop, implement, optimize, and maintain cloud-based solutions.
  • The Senior Cloud Engineer implements and manages cloud-based systems. They deploy cloud solutions, migrate existing on-premises applications to the cloud, debug, and maintain cloud solutions. They have excellent troubleshooting skills, stay current with industry trends, and are a team player.
  • Directly interacting with clients to gather requirements, provide support, make recommendations based on client needs, and deploy cloud solutions.
  • Collaborating with engineering and development teams to evaluate, identify, and deploy optimal cloud solutions and improve existing systems.
  • Creating and maintaining repeatable contact flows.
  • Developing, documenting, and sharing repeatable operating procedures related to AWS cloud services and Amazon Connect.
  • Educating and mentoring junior team members.
  • Ensuring efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and security best practices.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and deployment issues.

 

Requirements:

  • Passion for technology and continuous learning
  • 5+ years of IT infrastructure experience
  • 3+ years of cloud computing experience (AWS)
  • 3+ years of system engineering and deployment experience
  • Degree in computer science or a similar field
  • Excellent communication skills and meeting etiquette, ability to participate in meetings and lead technical working sessions effectively and professionally
  • Strong working knowledge and hands on experience with Amazon Web Services including Lambda, DynamoDB, Lex, EC2, S3, ELB, RDS, EKS
  • Experience with cloud migration and application modernization
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD concepts and tools
  • Strong infrastructure as code (IaC), automation, and scripting skills (Terraform, CFN, Ansible, Python)
  • Experience with telephony, IVRs, customer experience, building contact flows
  • Experience with Amazon Connect associated features and AWS services such as Lex, LexBots, Polly, Contact Lens, real time & historical reporting, routing profiles & queues
  • Experience with Amazon Connect integrations, Salesforce and WFM
  • Ability to produce detailed operational documentation
  • Advanced troubleshooting, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with identity management is a plus (IAM, IAM Identity Center, SAML, Active Directory, Azure AD)
  • Azure experience is a plus
  • AWS certification preferred, other cloud certifications are a plus
