Description

Job Purpose:
To lead and oversee the operations, technology, and data analytics departments, ensuring the efficient and effective execution of company strategies and goals. Reporting directly to the CEO.

About the Role:

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of Operations & Tech will be a key executive team member, collaborating with other leaders to develop and execute company-wide strategies. This role requires a dynamic individual with a proven track record of managing diverse teams, implementing process improvements, and fostering a data-driven culture. This includes overseeing our technology teams (including expansion in India), data analytics, facilities, security, vendor relationships, and project management.

Responsibilities:

  • Technology Leadership:
    • Oversee the overall technology team, including development, infrastructure, and support.
    • Help build a team focused on mapping out an A.I. roadmap for the business to implement. 
    • Spearhead the build-out and management of our technology team in India, including recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing performance management.
    • Collaborate with the Technology leader on department strategy and implementation.
  • Data Analytics & Performance Measurement:
    • Manage the data analytics team, driving the collection, analysis, and interpretation of key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Manage the team so they develop and implement company-wide dashboards and KPIs for each department, providing actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making in a timely manner.
    • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all reporting platforms.
  • Project Management & Execution:
    • Oversee project management from inception and problem-solving through implementation and execution.
    • Develop and implement project management methodologies and best practices - with an emphasis on using the Agile method.
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet defined objectives.
    • Manage the hand-off of completed projects to operational teams for ongoing management.
  • Leadership & Collaboration:
    • Provide strong leadership and mentorship to direct reports, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
    • Collaborate effectively with other executive team members and department heads to align operational strategies with overall business objectives.
    • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, providing regular updates on operational performance and initiatives.
  • Budget Management:
    • Develop and manage the technology and operational budgets, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
    • Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
  • MBA or Master's degree in Finance, Leadership, or equivalent field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in operations management, with a proven track record of success.  
  • 5+ years of experience managing technology teams, including international expansion.
  • Financial analysis and planning experience. 
  • Strong understanding of data analytics and performance measurement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement operational strategies and process improvements.
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience managing complex projects. 
  • Use of Agile methodologies in project management. 
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the financial services, legal, or real estate industries.
  • Proven leadership experience at a senior management level.
