About the Role

We’re seeking an exceptional Applied AI Engineer to develop cutting-edge AI-powered solutions, prototypes, and API-driven applications. In this role, you will experiment with state-of-the-art AI techniques, build POCs to showcase Jasper’s capabilities, and contribute to real-world product innovation. You’ll work closely with AI researchers and engineers to bridge the gap between experimentation and production-ready solutions.

This role is open to candidates located in France. It will be a hybrid setup, which requires you to come into the office when necessary. The office is based at Station F in Paris, the vibrant hub of the French startup ecosystem.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-powered prototypes, POCs, and API-driven solutions to address client needs and showcase Jasper’s capabilities.

• Experiment with techniques such as prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and model evaluations to improve AI applications.

• Build frameworks and tools for automated evaluation of AI-driven solutions.

• Evaluate and integrate Open Source and SaaS tools to enhance Jasper’s product offerings.

• Ensure AI-powered solutions comply with data security and client requirements.

• Collaborate with AI researchers and engineers to transition successful prototypes into scalable, production-ready systems.

• Stay up-to-date with advancements in AI and apply emerging techniques to enhance Jasper’s capabilities.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience in software engineering, with a focus on applying generative AI techniques to real-world use cases.

• Previous experiences with Python and Typescript and their HTTP ecosystem.

• Experience designing, building, and deploying API-driven applications.

• Experience working with LLMs and generative AI models in a production setting.

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly prototype and iterate on AI-driven solutions.

• Solid software engineering best practices, including writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, fine-tuning, or model customization.

• Familiarity with cloud-based AI workflows and providers.

• Experience in evaluating and benchmarking AI models for specific use cases.

• Knowledge of data governance and compliance best practices in AI applications.
