We are seeking a temporary candidate to develop current Airborne Radar production team thru mentorship, knowledge transfer and On-Job-Training to increase programmatic and technical expertise in customer relations, ability to lead a team of Engineers to expedite problem resolution in design, and supplier materials issues resolution. This candidate will develop strategic Root Cause Corrective Actions Plan to drive problem resolution. This position requires to possess technical and programmatic knowledge on Airborne Radar production product history, product design and processes to support Program Manager in executing program on budget, on time delivery and meeting contractual commitments.

What You Will Do

  • Daily meetings with program manager and Production Engineering Team on urgent issues and resolutions
  • Provide On-Job-Training to production chief engineers and early career engineers on Root Cause Corrective Actions
  • Provide technical recommendations on problem solving in RTX manufacturing and Supplier  
  • Support Program Execution: Program Reviews, manufacturing and engineer coordination and customer communications
  • Drive On Time Delivery

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Experts in solving complex Components/Modules/Units/ System issues Airborne Radar
  • Experienced in program executions: Team building, Cost & Schedule Management
  • Extensive experience in Airborne Radar manufacturing and processes at El Segundo and Forest, MS
  • Ability to travel to suppliers and Raytheon manufacturing facility at Forest, MS
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 14 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Extensive experience as a Business Area & Production Chief Engineers on Airborne Radar Systems
  • Extensive experience of Airborne Radar experience in Design and manufacturing
  • Ability to Mentor and develop current Production chief Engineers and early career Engineers with on-the-job training on program execution, complex problem solving and customer interface best practices
  • Ability to lead multi-disciplined technical team to work with and Suppliers
  • Possess product history knowledge on Radars

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
