Salary: Up to INR 2,800,000 depending on experience, plus generous ESOPs

Hours: This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week. 

You will need to be available for work during UK office hours 09:00-18:00 GMT (14:30-23:30 IST).

Requirements

The role

We are looking for individuals who are not only passionate about our mission but also comfortable and confident using cutting-edge technologies and AI tools, to streamline processes, drive innovation, and contribute to the growth of Vestd.

As a fast-growing fintech, we seek a full-stack Laravel developer to join the engineering team and help us build new tools and features and improve the existing ones. You will be a highly motivated and experienced engineer with many years of experience building components and new functionality in a complex environment.

The primary responsibilities of this role

We cannot provide an exhaustive list of duties; additional duties will arise, but the following will be core elements of this role:

• Work with the engineering and design team to build new features and improve existing ones
• Proactive management and improvements of the existing codebase
• Review error logs and make updates as necessary
• Support your fellow team members with advice and guidance as needed
• Support the wider team with engineering-related customer issues

Essential elements for this role

These are the skills and qualifications we consider essential for this role: 

• 5 or more years of experience working with Laravel
• Recent experience working with Laravel in a corporate environment
• Experience working with a product development team
• Experience working with very large or complex applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work independently and within a team, and able to prioritise work accordingly
• A desire to create testable, easy-to-use code
• Experience working with GitHub or other Git-based version control systems
• Experience working for an international company
• Impeccable attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
• An ability to communicate well in English, both verbally and in writing
• You must be comfortable with working in a fully remote environment

Nice to have

• Experience building web apps using VueJS
• Experience working with large and complex datasets
• Experience working with AWS services and configuration as code
• Experience working with tools like Jira, Miro & Figma
• Previous work as self-employed or contracting
• Startup/scaleup experience
• Knowledge of shares and share schemes
• Experience working in a remote team
