Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and talented individual to join us for an eight-week, summer internship within our Development department. Internships at esVolta aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience.


Key Responsibilities
The intern should expect to be involved in tasks similar to those listed below.
  • Research, identify and summarize power market dynamics that drive battery energy storage adoption across each US power market.
  • Analyze power market data to determine best locations to site battery energy storage across the country.
  • Analyze financial viability of energy storage projects across markets.
  • Perform due diligence on investment portfolios.
  • Craft detailed and informative presentations management.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, finance, economics, etc.
  • An interest in the energy sector and US power markets.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Advanced Excel Skills/VBA.
  • Effective communication (verbal, written, and presentation) skills.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work within multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of GIS tools (e.g. ArcGIS) and Python programming language is a plus.

Compensation
The anticipated annual hourly rate for this position is listed below. The actual hourly rate will depend on the specific skills and experience of the selected candidate.
