Job description

Excited to grow your career?

We value our talented employees, and whenever possible strive to help one of our associates grow professionally before recruiting new talent to our open positions. If you think the open position you see is right for you, we encourage you to apply!

Our people make all the difference in our success.

We are currently hiring for a Staff Ride Coordinator for the 2025 Spain Staff Ride, set to take place on October 20th. This is one of the most rewarding career experiences at Backroads - we promise! We are looking for someone who is excited to plan the most unique and fun company event in the universe.

The Staff Ride Team Lead will work closely with the Staff Ride Specialist, Jason Stawiski, to plan and execute everything Staff Ride (and Quality Summit!). This includes working with local vendors, finding restaurants and venues, route planning, and overall itinerary creation. As Staff Ride Coordinator you will also Lead Staff Ride.

We are looking for a candidate that:

  • Is familiar with Spain - someone who knows the culture, the towns, and the magic that makes Valencia and the Costa Blanca so special!

  • Proficient in Spanish

  • Has experience, or is wanting to learn more about, hosting big events and what makes them run smoothly

  • Exemplifies TEAMwork – the Team Lead will work closely with the Staff Ride Coordinator and vendors throughout the year, and with local staff and their fellow BR Staff Ride leaders during the event

  • Shows great leadership skills under pressure

  • Is familiar with Softrip

  • Has attended a Staff Ride!

The role will start immediately, but we can flex hours, including a required research trip in Spain in the spring. We estimate there to be approximately 100-150 hours of work prior to Staff Ride itself.  A lot of the work will come in spring, but you will need to be able to put time in throughout the summer, and it gets busier in the month leading to Staff Ride. This position is open to everyone, regardless of location.

Please Note: This position is only for the Staff Ride Coordinator. For anyone who may be interested in leading Staff Ride this year as part of the Staff Ride Crew, keep your eye out for another posting later!

If you are interested in the Coordinator position or learning more about it, please send an email to Jason Stawiski (jason_stawiski@backroads.com), subject line ‘Staff Ride Coordinator,’ NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, MARCH 14.

We are so excited for Staff Ride Spain!  Become a part of making it magical and apply now!
