We have an exciting opportunity to be a Sales Representative Eastern Ontario for our electrical division. This is a remote position in the Ottawa region, and you will report to the Ontario Regional Sales Manager.

Job Summary


The successful candidate will drive sales activities for IPEX Electrical products across Eastern Ontario. Your primary focus will be nurturing and expanding existing business through regular interactions with wholesalers, contractors, engineering, and end-user customers. You’ll play a key role in promoting IPEX Electrical products, ensuring sustained growth, and enhancing IPEX’s market leadership. Building and maintaining strategic partnerships with distributors, gathering market intelligence, establishing a strong presence with significant end-users, and fostering engineering relationships will be crucial to your success.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Negotiate electrical opportunities to grow new and existing Markets/Products.

  • Present and conduct Lunch and Learns with Contractors, Distributors, Utilities, and Specifier

  • Attend and participate in regional conferences, display at trade shows, and distributor branch events to promote IPEX and its products.

  • Promote and follow-up on activities within assigned territory aimed at continuous sales opportunities and ensuring continued positive customer relationships.

  • Tracks opportunities on projects and new products in CRM

  • Negotiate electrical opportunities to grow new and existing Markets/Products.

  • Perform various administrative duties such as reports; maintain customer Backlog, catalogues, Price Lists, literature review, and product presentation preparation.

  • Respond to product and service complaint reports within 24 hours of notification.

  • Participate in Cross-Functional Teams

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2+ years of successful experience in direct sales and marketing activities within the construction or industrial industries

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook as well as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems

  • A strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of value-selling

  • Completion of a university degree, college diploma or CET designation an asset

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 

  • The ability to work autonomously and as a phenomenal teammate with strong self-motivation

  • Some overnight travel is required.
