Systems Engineer

PURPOSE
This position supports the company with enterprise-wide responsibilities to configure and deploy CUCM, Unity, and UCCX. You also be responsible for configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting performance of all Cisco products, including Routers, Switches, and Firewalls.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designs, executes, and documents project plans for various network infrastructure projects.
• Installs, support, and maintains hardware and software infrastructure according to best practices.
• Researches emerging technology trends to make recommendations.
• Implements the necessary controls and procedures to protect information systems assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure and destruction.

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer
• Experience with Cisco Routers (ISR4331, 2901, 2911, 3945, preferred)
• Experience with Cisco Switches (Nexus 9k and 5k, 3850x, 2960x, preferred)
• Hands-on experience with Layer 2/3 switching and routing
• Experience with Network Performance Monitoring Software
• Phone systems support – Cisco CUCM 10.5, Unity 10.5, UCCX 10.6
• Knowledge of protocols such as BGP and EIGRP
• Knowledge of VOIP protocols such as SIP
• Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of related IT experience
  
  PREFERRED SKILLS
• Cisco Intelligent WAN (IWAN) support
• Experience with VPN support
• Experience with FirePOWER and FireSIGHT services
• Experience with IDS/IPS systems such as Sourcefire
  Experience maintaining Cisco ASA Firewalls (Cisco ASA 5515, preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS (TRAVEL, HOURS, ENVIRONMENT)

• Limited travel required including air and car travel
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.

PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS
Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
