Research Associate
About the Role

YouGov is looking for a Research Associate to join our dynamic and fast-paced team, delivering impactful insights to some of the world’s leading brands. In this role, you’ll design research solutions, manage diverse projects, and translate data into actionable recommendations. Key Responsibilities
  • Research Design & Execution – Develop tailored questionnaires and research designs to meet client objectives, ensuring high-quality insights under tight deadlines.
  • Client Management – Act as the primary client contact, maintaining clear and effective communication throughout the research process.
  • Project Coordination – Oversee research projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Pricing & Proposals – Prepare cost estimates for research projects and draft proposals to support new business opportunities.
  • Data Analysis & Insights – Interpret research findings, identify inconsistencies, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration – Work closely with suppliers, internal teams, and external partners to ensure data accuracy and alignment with YouGov’s methodologies.
  • Business Development Support – Respond to client inquiries, assess research specifications, and recommend appropriate solutions.
What We’re Looking For
  • 1–2 years of experience in market research, with a solid understanding of primary research methods.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, including survey design, client communication, and data analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively present findings and manage client relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with basic statistical methods.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify data inconsistencies and deliver meaningful insights.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
  • Experience in both B2B and B2C research projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to negotiate, influence, and take initiative.
  • Ability to analyze complex datasets with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

For roles based in California, New York, Colorado or Washington State, the base salary hiring range for this position is $62,500-72,000

Compensation offered will be determined by multiple factors including location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience.Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation and additional benefits.
