Job Summary:

 

We are seeking a South Carolina-licensed physician to serve as a Collaborating Physician for Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and/or Physician Assistants (PAs) providing healthcare services. This is a non-clinical role with a focus on compliance, oversight, and collaboration. The ideal candidate will provide guidance, chart reviews, and regulatory support in accordance with South Carolina state laws and practice requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide collaborative oversight to NPs/PAs as required by South Carolina regulations.
  • Conduct periodic chart reviews to ensure compliance with state guidelines.
  • Be available for consultation and clinical support as needed.
  • Participate in quarterly or periodic meetings (virtual or in-person as required).
  • Assist with protocol development and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Sign off on required documentation and maintain compliance with regulatory bodies.
  • Stay up to date on South Carolina medical board requirements for collaboration.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Active, unrestricted South Carolina medical license (MD or DO).
  • Minimum two years of clinical experience post-residency.
  • Must meet the South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners’ supervision requirements for NPs/PAs.
  • No current board disciplinary actions or sanctions.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with state laws and regulations governing NP/PA collaboration.
