What You Will Do:
As a Senior Front-End Engineer on the UpLink team, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our product. You’ll work closely with the founding team to build and enhance the capabilities of UpLink, delivering intuitive and high-performing experiences for our users.
Specifically, you will:
Own the entire front-end development lifecycle—from concept to deployment—delivering impactful new features for UpLink.
Collaborate with the team to translate product requirements into scalable and maintainable React-based solutions.
Ensure a high-quality user experience, balancing performance, accessibility, and design best practices.
Optimize and refine existing features, improving performance and usability based on user feedback and analytics.
Maintain and enhance the front-end architecture, making thoughtful technical decisions to support long-term scalability.
Work closely with backend engineers and designers, ensuring seamless API integrations and a polished UI/UX.
Collaborate with other front-end engineers across different product lines to share reusable components, align on best practices, and maintain consistency across UpLink and other applications.
Drive technical excellence, implementing best practices, reviewing code, and mentoring other engineers as needed.
Contribute to the culture of a fast-moving startup, taking initiative and helping to shape the direction of UpLink’s engineering efforts.
What You Will Bring:
We’re looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Front-End Engineer, based in on the East Coast of the United States, who thrives in fast-moving environments and is passionate about building great software.
You’ll be a strong fit if you have:
5+ years of experience working as a front-end engineer, with deep expertise in React and modern front-end development.
Full-stack experience or familiarity with backend technologies, allowing you to collaborate effectively across the stack.
Proven ability to thrive in fast-moving teams, delivering high-quality software independently and efficiently.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to creatively balance speed and quality—knowing when to engineer a scalable solution and when to execute quickly.
A self-motivated and independent approach, taking ownership of your work while collaborating effectively with the team.
A deep passion for building—constantly experimenting, learning, and refining your craft. Software development isn’t just your job; it’s what drives you.
