As a Financial Services Subject Matter Expert, you will play a critical role in driving our go-to-market strategy within the financial services industry. You will work closely with large enterprise account executives to identify and pursue opportunities with bulge bracket banks, large regional banks, investment banks, and other financial institutions. Your deep understanding of the financial services landscape, combined with your strong consulting background and customer-facing skills, will be essential in positioning Smartsheet as the preferred solution for these organizations.

Reports to Regional Vice President, Financial Services.

You Will:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to account executives on financial services industry trends, pain points, and best practices for leveraging Smartsheet to address these challenges.
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and demonstrations that showcase Smartsheet's value proposition to financial services clients.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and trends within the financial services industry.
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to provide feedback on product enhancements and new features that cater to the specific needs of financial services clients.
  • Actively participate in industry events and conferences to build relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within the financial services community.
  • Stay up-to-date on regulatory changes and compliance requirements that impact the financial services industry.
  • Provide ongoing training and enablement to account executives on the latest developments in the financial services landscape and how to effectively leverage Smartsheet to address client needs.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on bulge bracket banks, large regional banks, or investment banking.
  • Strong consulting background with a proven track record of delivering successful client engagements.
  • Deep understanding of the financial services landscape, including regulatory requirements, industry trends, and client pain points.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Clari) and project management tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree in Finance or a related field.
  • Experience with Smartsheet or other project management and collaboration tools.
  • Optional certifications in relevant financial services areas (e.g., CFA, CPA).

Smartsheet provides a competitive base salary range for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location. In addition, this role will be eligible for a market competitive incentive opportunity.

US Base Salary Pay Range
$92,500$137,500 USD
