We’re looking for a Mid+ Full Stack Engineer to join our agile pod, where you’ll contribute to developing new features, fixing defects, and collaborating with the team. You’ll write unit tests, review pull requests, and actively participate in agile ceremonies to support continuous improvement.

What you will be doing:
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineering Engineer to experience to join our dynamic engineering team. This role centers on developing new features and fixing defects for diverse projects across Latin America and the U.S., with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement. The position requires leveraging advanced skills in AWS, particularly EC2 and Fargate, as well as Java/Spring, React, and PostgreSQL within a collaborative, remote-first environment. Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and deploying enhancements, writing clean and maintainable code, implementing unit tests, and ensuring seamless integration across front-end and back-end teams. The engineer will also participate actively in agile ceremonies and contribute to shaping the data landscape in a dynamic and growing organization. This role is integral to our development teams and offers opportunities for professional growth and advancement. Your responsibilities include:
  • Design, develop, and deploy new features and enhancements using specified technology stacks, including Java/Spring and React.
  • Write clean, maintainable code while adhering to industry best practices and coding standards.
  • Implement unit tests and participate in testing practices to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and learning from others.
  • Collaborate with front-end and back-end teams for seamless integration of systems.
  • Attend and actively participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, using methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in both production and development environments, focusing on debugging and documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous integration and deployment processes to enhance software delivery.
  • Ensure application security and data protection throughout development.
  • Utilize advanced skills in AWS, particularly EC2 and Fargate, for managing cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Apply extensive expertise in PostgreSQL/SQL databases for effective database management.
  • Leverage familiarity with Docker and containerized applications to optimize development workflows.

 

Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
  • 3+ years of experience in software development.
  • Advanced proficiency in AWS services, particularly EC2 and Fargate, for managing cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Advanced skills in Java/Spring for backend development.
  • Intermediate experience with React Web and/or React Native for web and mobile application development.
  • Advanced expertise in PostgreSQL/SQL databases.
  • Beginner-level familiarity with Docker and containerized applications.
  • Intermediate knowledge of best practices for writing unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
Desired skills: 
  • Experience with microservices architecture and deployment strategies.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes for orchestrating containerized applications.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL for querying APIs.
  • Experience in CI/CD workflows to enhance software delivery processes.
  • Certification in AWS, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
