Role Overview: 

The VP, Growth is a key leadership role within the Growth Engine, focused on driving new business acquisition and managing large growth opportunities with existing clients. This role is responsible for supporting pipeline development, guiding the creation of solutions, and driving the proposal and closing processes. The position also involves supporting client onboarding and contributing to strategic growth partnerships. Additionally, the role includes secondary responsibilities related to organic business expansion, demand marketing support, sales channel development through partnership and providing strategic support to existing accounts. 


Key Responsibilities: 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Lead Joint Pipeline Development: Oversee prospecting, networking, qualifying leads, engaging in buying conversations, and converting opportunities into new business. 
  • Guide and Facilitate Solutions Architecting: Collaborate with practice leads to design, communicate/represent and propose solutions that address client needs and align with the firm’s capabilities. 
  • Lead Proposal Development & Closing Conversations: Drive the creation of proposals and manage closing conversations in collaboration with Account Management to secure new business. 
  • Support Client Contracting & Onboarding: Facilitate the contracting process and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new clients. 
  • Lead Pipeline Tracking & Reporting: Monitor and report on pipeline activities to ensure effective management and visibility of leads and opportunities. 
  • Support Strategic Growth Partnerships: Contribute to the development and management of strategic partnerships that drive business growth. 

Secondary Responsibilities: 

  • Support Organic Business Expansion: Aid in identifying and pursuing opportunities for growth within existing client accounts. 
  • Support Demand Marketing for Business Unit: Assist in the execution of demand marketing programs, tactics, and assets for Marketing Service campaigns deployed to generate leads and support growth initiatives. 
  • Assist in sales channel development: through partnerships with marketing and tech vendors, publishers and VC/PE firms. 


Key Metrics: 
This role is measured by new business revenue and bookings within new and expanding accounts. Key metrics include: 

  • Pipeline Development: Lead conversion rate, opportunity win rate, and growth in new business pipeline. 
  • Sales Process Management: Average deal size, sales cycle length, and proposal win rate. 
  • Pipeline Tracking & Reporting: Accuracy of sales forecasts and timeliness of reporting. 
  • Strategic Growth Partnerships: Number and revenue impact of new partnerships. 
  • New Client Development: Revenue from new accounts and client retention rate. 
  • Organic Business Development: Expansion and revenue growth within existing accounts. 


Qualifications: 

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in sales, business development, or a related strategic leadership role within a marketing services firm (or agency). 
  • Previous agency experience in strategy, account planning, brand development or marketing technology 
  • Strong understanding of the key marketing frameworks (like ABM, demand gen, media, brand building blocks etc.) 
  • Good understanding of MarTech landscape (ABM platforms, data platforms, CRM, marketing automation) 
  • Identifiable personal network and involvement in marketing community is preferred 
  • Strong background in managing the agency sales process, from pipeline development to proposal and closing and managing key c-level relationships. 
  • Ability to guide solutions architecture and collaborate with practice leads. 
  • Excellent writing, communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills. 
  • Experience in client onboarding, pipeline management, and supporting growth partnerships.

This role is remote, but our ideal candidate is able to work EST hours.  

​​​​​​​We aim to offer competitive and fair compensation based on experience, location, and market benchmarks. The salary range for this role will be $180,000 to $200,000 USD.
