KLI is a user experience (UX) research and customer experience (CX) service design agency with 12+ years of serving over 150 clients in all industry segments across Fortune 1000s, including Amazon, Roku, Bose, and Google. Our shared purpose is to advise companies on their customer experience (CX) so that we make a difference through better-designed products and services.
In this role, you will gain first-hand UX research experience as you assist researchers in the creation, execution, and delivery of client projects. You will learn about how to recruit participants, how to design studies around client objectives and goals, and how to write reports that tell the story of research insights in actionable ways for client teams.
KLI is a remote-first company that occasionally conducts in-person research studies. Employees primarily work from their home offices. Travel for this position is not a guarantee but is a possibility. In-person studies may require travel to various locations to conduct research activities as part of the internship.

What you’ll do:
Collaborate closely with lead researchers to create initial drafts of client deliverables such as Kickoff decks, screeners, discussion guides/study protocols, and note-taking grids
Assist researchers in the tracking of recruitment and management of research operations and communicating project updates to clients
Observe during final deliverable meetings with lead researchers and Exec Oversight
Work primarily on recruitment activities like programming approved screeners, approving participants, scheduling interviews, updating recruitment trackers, and communicating with lead researchers on progress.
Conduct research support activities such as note-taking, making video clips, communicating recruitment updates to the client, etc.
Contribute to and lead internal KLI initiatives and special projects
Compensation
Pay: $20/hour (not overtime eligible)
Status: W-2 Temporary Full Time (maximum of 40 hours per week)
This position is not eligible for benefits such as health insurance, sick, holiday or vacation pay, etc.

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience: 0 years
Preferred Education: 2 years working towards a Bachelor’s degree

Protective clothing or equipment is required including gloves, helmets, steel-toed boots, and protective eyewear. (for Human Factors Medical Device Studies)
The noise level in the work environment usually is under 85 dBA, however may be exposed to higher levels while traveling at an airport.
