FactSet is currently seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer with a focus on Network Security to join the growing global Security team. We are looking for an experienced Network Security Engineer to join our Network Security Team to provide support as it relates to design & implement solutions for network operations, network convergence through acquisitions, and network security. You will work with engineering teams on cross-functional projects throughout the organization. This role requires enthusiasm, curiosity and a thirst for security knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with security technologies like Palo Alto firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, MFA, and cloud security.
Support network security design and deployment at a global level.
Maintain and implement security standards and best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business requirements.
Enhance operational efficiency and customer service through process improvements.
Review and approve security changes while minimizing risk.
Document new technologies for administrative use.
Mentor team members in technical and soft skills.
Manage operational tasks, prioritize requests, and ensure SLA adherence.
Handle escalations and contribute to incident management.
Document procedures and assist in SOP development.
Build vendor relationships and understand their roadmaps.
Innovate to improve security solutions.
Participate in on-call rotations and support operations teams.
Manage capacity and lifecycle of security technologies.
Minimum Requirements:
2 - 3-years minimum support Palo Alto productions such as NGFW, SASE, Prisma Access, Cortex Data Lake, AiOps, Virtual Firewalls in AWS/Azure/GCP, GWLB, Global Protect.
Must have Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
Participate in on-call rotations and support operations teams.
2:30 pm EST – 8:30am EST & Weekends 11:30am EST – 8:30pm EST
Critical Skills:
Expert in network protocols and technologies.
Proficient in scripting, Hashi, GitHub, and AWS automation.
Experienced with Palo Alto security products, including installation and configuration.
Skilled in network planning and implementation for data centers.
Deep understanding of networking concepts, LAN/WAN/MPLS, and security with firewalls and load balancers.
Certified in Palo Alto, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Cisco, etc.
Extensive experience with routing protocols and concepts.
Strong troubleshooting abilities.
Good grasp of OS, virtualization, OSI layers, and L7 protocols.
Knowledge of application tiers and technology stacks.
Experience with orchestration/automation solutions is beneficial.
