Job Title:
Manager, Accommodations - Activision Blizzard

Requisition ID:
R024947

Job Description:

Your Mission

As a workplace Accommodations Manager, you will oversee our Accommodations Benefits Specialist and provide direct support to individuals with specific needs or disabilities as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or similar laws. You will report to the Senior Manager of Benefits, who oversees leave of absence and workplace accommodations. You will also partner with Human Resources, internal stakeholders, vendors, and management to assess, plan and implement necessary accommodations to promote an inclusive and accessible environment. In the first year, you will help to develop better HR reporting tools – whether that’s leveraging our internal ticketing system, ServiceNow, or using a third-party solution. You’ll work to identify gaps in our existing processes, ensure compliance with ever-changing laws and regulations, and make suggestions to make us more agile.

This role is 100% remote. The majority of our employees are located in California, so later working hours may be required depending on your location. Travel may be required for team meetings (annual), vendor meetings, and relevant conferences.

What you bring to the table

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Monitor the accommodations inbox and HR Support Desk (ticketing) platform with the assistance of the Accommodations Benefits Specialist.
  • Determine eligibility and provide timely response to accommodation related inquiries.
  • Process and record accommodation requests in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate information from medical professionals and lead interactive dialogue with employees through written and verbal communication to assess accommodation needs.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to facilitate the accommodation process, while upholding a high-level of confidentiality as it relates to employees’ sensitive medical information.
  • Develop customized accommodations plans to address the unique needs of individuals and ensure that plans comply with legal requirements and operational needs.
  • Lead in implementing employee accommodations, which may include coordinating adjustments to workspaces, helping to procure adaptive equipment, etc.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records of accommodation cases and outcomes and follow up with individuals and stakeholders to monitor the effectiveness of accommodations and adjust as necessary.
  • Stay current with federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to accommodations and leave of absence.
  • Closely collaborate with Legal and HR to address compliance issues as they arise.
  • Support the development and maintenance of accommodation and leave policies and materials for the organization, intranet articles, accommodation communication templates, etc.
  • Communicate accommodation updates to stakeholders and provide ad hoc accommodation reporting and analyses as needed/requested.

Minimum Requirements

Experience
